I am now introducing the next step by highlighting the Town of Barnstable in a new, expanded concept of the Cape Cod issue of Accessibility. Your participation will contribute to a community project to build a fishing deck for the disabled and all citizens. Sponsored by the Barnstable Disability Commission and a donation from "Accessibility" through ad revenues, this project will become a reality. Accessibility is dedicated to supporting community access programs and corporate sponsorship participation is very important to our success.

B.D.C.Fishing Deck Project

The Barnstable disability Commission is seeking support to build a recreational fishing deck which will be accessible to all the citizens in the Town of Barnstable.

This project will be the only one of its kind in the town, available to the senior and disabled population. Wonderful recreation for all citizens! The B.D.C. is applying for state aid and federal funding, but also needs the support from the business, civic, and private sectors.

Here is the perfect opportunity for the community to join in and support a project that everyone can enjoy.

This will help to enhance a beautiful piece of Cape Cod and enable the disabled as well as children and their families, including Grandma and Gramps, to haul in those lines with all the excitement that comes at the end of a fishing line.

But it doesn't end there. Other communities also attend morning nondenominational services on these decks. A great place for wedding pictures and just plain relaxation to absorb the sky and sea at its best... and maybe get those pictures you always wanted to take.
